Health, Safety and Environmental Manager
We are currently seeking an HSE manager to join the Wellingborough team onsite, working cross-functionally to implement a strong safety culture and ensure all employees are appropriately trained.
You would be required to demonstrate influencing skills and a knowledge of all existing solutions to mitigate risks in a multisite environment.
As well as looking after Cummins’ sites, you will be responsible for our employees who are based at a diverse range of customer sites, across various industries.

To implement and sustain a positive health, safety and environmental culture through the application of the management systems framework in site(s) with low complexity.
Build strong relationships across functions to ensure the organization understands their roles and responsibilities and are committed to driving a positive health, safety and environmental culture.
Lead hazard identification, environmental aspect identification and risk assessment programs to identify strategic risk improvement opportunities and gaps in health, safety and environmental compliance obligations. Manage planning actions to set targets and objectives for the site and supervises actions through completion.
Develop and maintain support content ensuring it is up to date, controlled and available while adhering to data privacy regulations. Interfaces with external regulatory bodies as required with the support of the legal department.
Drive improvements to health, safety and environmental performance metrics using a risk-based and data-driven approach. Adhere to Cummins internal reporting requirements through approved systems.
Lead daily health, safety and environmental operations within the site(s) providing support to solve issues, including but not limited to health, safety and environmental compliance, capital and resource management, risk reduction, incident investigation, management of change, contractor safety, emergency preparedness and response, pollution prevention and environmental sustainability.
To be a success in this role you will need;
NEBOSH general certificate
Significant hands-on experience in a similar HSE with knowledge of relevant HSE legislation and regulations is required
Existing experience in an HSE role across multiple sites is essential
Willingness to travel to multiple Cummins locations regularly, approx. 40% every month
Compensation and Benefits
Salary depending on experience: £40,000 - £50,500
