This is an exciting opportunity in Ramsgate, Kent for a Project Engineer – Gas Projects.

Your impact will be seen in these and other ways:
Responsible for leading all engineering design for the technical aspects of power plant projects (mechanical, electrical, control and instrumentation, etc.) – including development of complicated technical solutions/system designs, technical specifications, approval of designs with respect to customer requirements etc.Specifically projects that utilize Cummins reciprocating lean burn natural gas generators – in the range of 1-2 MW.
Liaise closely with a multifunction team of specialist engineers to ensure technical designs are functionally optimized and safeand conforming to all relevant British standards such as BS7671, European low voltage directive, European machine directive.
Working closely with the project manager to ensure all specifications are produced in timely manner and in line with customer requirements.
Ensuring clear communication with suppliers to meet customer delivery expectations
Responsible for milestones and deliveries of all sub contracted engineering firms
Skills and Experience Required:
Working knowledge of Power Generators, fuel systems, MV/LV electrical equipment/applications would be required
Proven experience of working on similar power generation projects
Understanding of related industry codes, standards and regulations
Background in Mechanical or Electrical engineering is preferred
Flexibility for travel when required in and around the UK and Europe Required Education, Licenses or Certifications
Ideally holds a Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical or Electrical engineering Compensation and Benefits Salary £39,280 - £54,000 Plus a wide range of competitive benefits including:
