Engineering Change Liaison (Supersession, New Parts)

Description

We are looking for a talented Engineering Change Liaison (Supersession, New Parts) to join our team in Leeds, England.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Managing the execution of supersession of parts for multiple facilities simultaneously

  • Use analytical and quantitative methods to understand, predict, and enhance supply chain processes.

  • Responsible for analyzing performance, identifying problems, and developing recommendations to improve the organization's Supply Chain.

  • Support sites to ensure all attributes are aligned prior to transitioning to ISC Material planning team and consistent across the network of plants within the region

  • Actively monitor and provide input into plant ECC with respect to effective dates, based on readiness to switch item numbers

  • Ensure plant is driving good inventory practices post supersession events, to prevent impactful planning issues

  • Project management for supersession parts

  • Primarily responsible for managing all activities associated with the supersession of items and the introduction of new items into ISC Material Planner desks.

This is a hybrid role based in Leeds, and required in office when work requires

  • Inventory Management and Optimization - Uses analytics and algorithms to determine the optimal level of inventory investment across the end-to-end supply chain within specific constraints (warehouse space, customer delivery, etc.); provides guidance and expertise on planning parameter refinement; develops inventory strategies to support Cummins' strategy and not just a business unit strategy.

  • Materials Planning Parameters - Aligns parameters (minimum order quantity, multiple order quantity, lead time, part cost, etc.) to balance the supply and demand plans while stabilizing the supply chain; runs changes to parameter settings in the planning environment and analyzes the impact to customer delivery and inventory.

  • Materials Planning System Utilization - Uses the materials planning system to manage supply and demand plans taking long-term corrective action on exception messages and other alerts based on root cause analysis; occasionally refers to adhoc tools such as Excel, Access, TOAD, OMS, etc. in performing problem solving, while leveraging the materials planning system as the primary tool in day-to-day operations.

  • ​Planning Data Extraction and Analysis - Extracts, transforms, models, interprets, and presents planning data with the goal of mining useful information, suggesting conclusions, and supporting value creating decision making.

Qualifications

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

  • B.S or B.A in applicable field

  • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience

  • At least one internship or equivalent work experience in a supply chain role.

Salary:

£32,800.00- £49.200.00 depending on experience
