This is an exciting opportunity in Huddersfield for a Test Engineer
Your impact will be seen in these and other ways:
Bydesigning or specifying test systems that allow operation of Cummins’ products in a laboratory environment
To be involved in specification, design, implementation, validation and support of test systems
To investigate product test system, failures and process problems
To assist in applying and supporting the improvement of processes such as test system specification
By making decisions in the areas of component selection
Owns problem resolution for moderately complex components
Provides independent execution of established work processes and systems
Skills and Experience Required:
Demonstrating the capability of the test cells across the worldwide facilities
Identifying and implementing process improvements to maintain/improve the data quality and productivity of testing
Investigating and resolving test and test cell issues as well supporting the worldwide labs with problem solving activities
Carrying out repeatability studies involving worldwide test equipment
Defining new test methods, proving the capability and defining the acceptance criteria for new test types for use in both in the UK and worldwide
Liaise closely with the Test Operations and Test Technology Engineers
Develop standardised test procedures to provide reliable and consistent data
Research new technologies surrounding testing equipment and instrumentation
Required Education, Licenses or Certifications
College, University, or equivalent degree in Engineering required.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary £29,000 - £39,743 (dependent on experience)
4% Variable Bonus
