Support the Global OEMs Sales Department in:
Managing Cummins Turbo Technologies business to meet business targets
Prepare reports and presentations with application of Excel and PowerPoint
Support with day to day financial queries and maintenance of a small selection of accounts, ensuring that payments are made on time and that any disputed transactions are resolved.
Provide support to the demand planning teams by utilising previous sales figures and future demand to create monthly demand views for each of the accounts to give accurate forecasts. Analyse market trends, studying and understanding competition.
Assist with general sales tasks, such as; quoting, changing prices, updating systems, invoicing/crediting creating sales orders
Support in the New Product Introduction process
Build/maintain relationships and business with customers, colleagues and suppliers
Respect and ensure confidentiality
Work within the corporate ethics of Cummins inc. and ensure maintenance of respect, openness and integrity.
Meet mutually agreed workplan goals.
Flexibility to travel when/if needed
Studying for a Business, Engineering, Marketing Degree or similar
Customer service experience would be an advantage
Analysis and computer skills essential eg: Microsoft Excel, Word & PowerPoint
Strong communicator -verbal and written
Understanding of Commercial and Financial basics.
Good proactive attitude
Foreign language(s) are beneficial but not essential
What you will learn on your placement:
A comprehensive induction programme is provided with role specific training.
Learn about business strategies, organisational structures, financial results, internal processes.
Account Planning - How to identify support needs or service improvement needs of a customer.
How to effectively execute strategies by identifying initiatives that will lead to achieving defined goals. Able to apply measures and track progress toward the goal.
Manage Customer Relationships – Able to establish rapport, deliver on commitments, and develop a positive relationship with customers. Document call plans, meeting notes and action items based upon calls.
Sales Negotiations – Obtain a basic understanding of negotiation tactics and the concept of power in a negotiation.
