Thisis an exciting opportunity in Huddersfield for a Customer Quality Specialist .

Your impact will be seen in these and other ways:

The Customer Quality Specialist will support the business to advocate for customers in resolving product quality, supply chain quality and process quality related issues.

  • Develops understanding of customer expectations and requirements for quality

Supports the vision and strategy for the Customer Quality organization, including definition of key performance metrics and goal tree initiatives.

  • Works to implement and close action plans for customer quality issues including product, supply chain, or process related.

  • Uses Customer Centric metrics to prioritize customer quality issues.

  • Maintains external relationships and supports developing key quality communications, in some cases communicates externally.

  • Contributes to process improvement efforts and may lead portions of workflows or processes

Qualifications

Skills and Experience Required:

Experience

Intermediate level of experience required.

  • Acts as primary face of quality to the customer locations in Europe.

  • Coordinates quality communications with customer locations in Europe.

  • Leads change management on current product with customer locations in Europe.

Skills

  • Ability to identify Quality issues at supplier and production phases.

  • Ability to manage Quality issues by recommending process or engineering improvements, and ability to escalate issues as appropriate.

  • Knowledge of medium to heavy-duty diesel engine turbo technologies.

  • Knowledge of formal problem-solving approaches such as 5-Why.

  • Understanding of standardised quality frameworks e.g. ISO 9001 and IATF 16949.

  • Experience of using Six Sigma as part of a focused business improvement programme.

Education, Licenses, Certifications

  • Bachelors’ degree in engineering-related discipline, or equivalent experience required.

  • Certified Green Belt preferred (Can be General, PPS – Practical Problem Solving, or 6S statistics).

Compensation and Benefits

Salary £41,000 - £47,500 per annum (dependent on experience)
