Powertrain Systems Engineer
Description
We are looking for a talented Powertrain Systems Engineer to join our team specialising in delivering Powertrain Engineering Solutions for our Engine Business Unit in Darlington.
This is a flexible opportunity to work hybrid or remotely from your home/office.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
Support assigned Projects and OEMs with all key requests for machine optimization planning, testing and training.
Maintain open issues tracking for our assigned partner or Tier1/2 suppliers and projects.
You will demonstrate timely completion and update the monthly tracker to reflect status
You will be strategic in your approach and work promptly with customer’s engineering work, working alongside the Machine Integration team and Applications Engineering to solve the OEM’s powertrain performance challenges / goals.
Responsible for leading powertrain optimisation projects for On and Off highway in support of the current product and new development programs.
Collaborate with internal, external partners and stakeholders across a wide range of project types and applications to deliver powertrain engineering solutions.
Navigate new, unique or difficult technical challenges and strive to deliver an exceptional machine through problem solving and systems integration - optimisation of the top-level system
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
Bachelors hons degree in Engineering or other relevant technical subject
Ability to clearly communicate the appropriate level of technical information and willingness to question statements for background or justification where appropriate.
Enthusiastic and driven engineer with the ability to use your own initiative to challenge processes and solve problems.
Demonstrable MATLAB experience, analysing data collected from CAN, to validate and troubleshoot powertrains.
Fluent in English – Written & Verbal

Salary and Compensation Benefits;
£35,551 - £43,450
