Power Systems Test Engineer Technical Specialist

We are seeking a talented Power Systems Test Engineer Technical Specialist to join the team based in Daventry. You will be required to obtain and negotiate internal customer requirements for research and development testing of engines, generator sets, and new technologies.

The role is classed as hybrid and you will be required to work on site as and when business needs is required.

Your impact will be seen in these and other ways;

  • Translate customer needs into executable plans for use by Technical Operations and wider Test Execution team.

  • Responsible for right first-time quality data delivery to global customer networks utilising multiple data analysis methods to ensure robust data quality.

  • Managing parts coordination towards test article build, install and managing the test execution and teardown activities.

  • Documentation and reporting of test project events through various electronic systems working with multiple teams throughout the engineering organisation.

  • Maintaining and leading the development of internal Test Engineering documentation, processes, and tools.

  • Become a global mentor within Test Engineering to provide expertise on complex problem-solving utilising common methods such as 7-Step Problem Solving, 5S and Six Sigma tools.


To be a success in this role you will need;

  • University or equivalent Bachelor's degree in Engineering or relevant STEM subject.

  • Previous product validation experience is required

  • Experience of data processing using excel or AVL concerto as a minimum

Compensation and Benefits

  • Salary depending on experience: £40,770 - £49,800
