This is an exciting opportunity in Daventry for a HSE & Facilities Leader, a $1.5bn site housing 1300 employees. A dynamic and highly inclusive site where you can lead on industry leading HSE & Facilities projects driven by local and global Health, Safety and Environmental initiatives.

Your impact will be seen in these and other ways:

  • Leading the overall design and development of HSE strategy & functional excellence within the Business unit in addition to the execution of health & safety on site at Daventry.

  • Establishing, implementing and leading on short and long term organizational goals including: significant HSE initiatives both new and in-progress, physical manufacturing line/process changes, maintenance of site buildings and major infrastructure projects, environmental initiatives such as regeneration of power & water recycling, as well as Cultural initiatives such as increasing behavior based safety engagement.

  • Responsibility for setting objectives, implementing policies & operating procedures plus monitoring and evaluating for operational effectiveness.

  • Oversees the deployment of health & safety management systems worldwide.

  • Responsibility for overseeing a significant HSE & Facilities capital and expenditure budget.

  • You will lead a team of 4 direct reports and indirectly a team of 16 HSE & Facilities professionals across multi-functions including but not limited to Manufacturing, Warehousing, Logistics, Facilities and Engineering support.

  • As Leader of the HSE & Facilities functions you will design, establish and maintain an organizational structure, leading by example on how to accomplish the organization's goals and objectives through effective recruitment, coaching, development, training, supervision and evaluation of unit staff.

Qualifications

Skills and Experience required:

  • We are seeking a technical HSE & Facilities expert who is ready to share their practical and legislative knowledge to lead and nurture a highly engaged team to success.

  • Experience of HSE Management Systems and external certification.

  • Ability to influence and maintain a Health and Safety Culture through championing positive health and safety behaviors and by influencing leaders & employees to drive engagement and create the right environment.

  • Experience of measuring and evaluating HSE performance through analysis of KPI’s and performance trends in-order to deliver improvement goals and objectives.

  • Able to demonstrate effective and efficient communication skills, using appropriate and diverse methods of communication to influence different audiences.

  • Demonstrable experience of leading, coaching and developing individuals and teams using collaboration and leading through influence.

Education, Licenses, Certifications

  • Educated to degree level in Health & Safety, Environment or a relevant technical/scientific subject or equivalent in experience.

  • Ideally Nebosh qualified or willing to gain qualification.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Salary circa £80,000

  • Defined Benefit pension scheme (Final Salary)
