This is an exciting opportunity in Davantry for a tenacious General Accounting Supervisor who has existing experience overseeing financial operations and is looking to lead a small and enthusiastic team of General Ledger Accountants.
Your impact will be seen in these and other ways:
- Streamlining accounting practices and procedures
Oversee and guide two General Ledger Accountants
- Implement accounting policies in collaboration with the General Accounting manager
Implement processes and procedures that properly capture, track, and report revenue and expenditures
Compile, review and analyze complex, financial information
Review account reconciliations prepared the team
Identify control weaknesses and provide recommendations for remedial changes to tighten and enhance controls and mitigate risk
Create and/ or improve accounting systems to ensure adequate recognition of financial transactions
Coach and mentors General Ledger Accountants; assigns work according to availability, skills, and developmental needs
Skills and Experience Preferred:
Existing, professional experience in a General Accounting role including the supervision of staff.
Maintaining internal controls and ensuring SOx compliance for close the books, fixed assets and revenue cycles
Sales analysis, reconciliation, reporting and responding to invoicing queries
Fixed assets accounting and ensuring timely asset capitalisation
Completing quarterly reports for submission to Corporate Accounting
Administering the Plant’s leasing requirements and adhering to Corporate policy
VAT reporting and completing PAYE Settlement Agreements for the Plant
Preparing year end local and international tax packs
Payroll related accruals and Intercompany loan account reconciliation
Monthly Balance Sheet account reconciliations and preparing the reconciliation (matrix
Warranty accounting and quarterly cross charge process
Preferred Education, Licenses or Certifications
College, university or equivalent degree, professional membership in a related subject matter
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary between £37,351 to £40,650 depending on experience
Variable bonus of 8%
