Continuous Improvement Specialist

We are currently seeking a talented Continuous Improvement Specialist to be based at our state-of-the-art parts distribution centre in Daventry. The role will be based within our Continuous Improvement Team, reporting into the Continuous Improvement Coordinator.

The Continuous Improvement Team are responsible for identifying improvement opportunities and implementing innovative solutions to improve safety, efficiency and quality for our employees and customers.

Your impact will be seen in these and other ways;

  • You will be responsible for ensuring accessibility to the Continuous Improvement Scheme at all levels of the workforce and driving increased engagement and output from the scheme.

  • You will be tasked with leading cross functional teams to deliver A3 projects and supporting larger transformational projects contributing the maturity of the site.

  • You will support the annual Operations Excellence assessment, performing GAP analysis to identify opportunities for improvement and implement process improvements using 6Sigma tools & methodologies

  • Use data and data analysis to measure current processes, forecast process improvements, inform decision making and quantify process improvements, once completed.

  • Partner to drive improvement activities within the function to deliver performance objectives of impacted value streams and improve outcomes for customers.

  • Contribute by applying the knowledge of Operations Excellence principles and practices as they are applied to Cummins.

Qualifications

To be a success in this role you will need;

  • Educated to A Level standard or equivalent

  • Knowledge of Microsoft packages at an intermediate level

  • Previous Continuous Improvement experience

  • Experience from an Automotive/ Manufacturing/ Logistics or Warehouse industry

Compensation and Benefits

  • Salary depending on experience: £ 32000-37000

  • Defined contribution pension scheme - company contributions up to 9%
