Compliance Technical Specialist – Production Conformity (Hybrid)

Description

We are looking for a talented Compliance Technical Specialist (Production Conformity) - to join our team in Daventry & possibility of Darlington – UK too)

  • This is a Hybrid role, with regular travel into one of our main sites In; Daventry or Darlington, it will also require an element of travel across Europe.

In this critical role you will be focused on managing projects and audits that relate to the conformity of production requirements for our European and UNECE emissions certifications. This will include, but potentially not limited to; In-service Conformity (ISC) / In-Service Monitoring (ISM) / New engine Conformity of Production (COP) / OBD In Use Performance Ratio (IUPR). You will also be:

  • Working collaboratively across a range of internal stakeholders (e.g., Plant Quality, Manufacturing Strategy, Engine Platform leaders, test resources) ensuring conformity requirements are met in a timely and efficient manner, including results, and escalating any issues.

  • Partnering with Certification Engineers globally to facilitate the ongoing sharing of product knowledge requiring conformity testing.

  • Supporting the business in the identification and implementation of efficiency improvements to conformity testing whilst still satisfying regulatory expectations.

  • Developing, releasing, and maintaining process documentation to support the above responsibilities ensuring consensus of applicable stakeholders.

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

Along with a background in quality management and project management you will also have:

  • Highly effective problem-solving skills, potentially with Six Sigma accreditation.

  • Proven effective communications at all levels of the business.

  • Confidence in building networks across the organization, developing formal and informal relationships with Manufacturing, Engineering, Service, Sales & Marketing, and PCRA teams.

  • Basic knowledge of state-of-the-art Emissions systems plus a willingness to develop further.

  • The ability to influence, through developing compelling arguments to gain the support and commitment of others.

Qualifications

Education, Licenses, Certifications

  • College, university, or equivalent degree in Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Business, or related technical or scientific field required.

Experience

  • Understanding & communicating all regulated conformity requirements relating to European product emissions certifications (covering On Highway & Nonroad products) – including but potentially not limited to: In-service Conformity (ISC), In-Service Monitoring (ISM), New engine Conformity of Production (COP) & OBD In Use Performance Ratio (IUPR)

  • Working with a variety of internal stakeholders (e.g., Plant Quality, Manufacturing Strategy, Engine Platform Leaders, test resources) .

  • Facilitation of support for audits carried out by certification agencies as needed.

  • Good Project Manager.
