This is an exciting opportunity in Darlington for an IT Applications Analyst
Your impact will be seen in these and other ways:
Providecomprehensive application functionality, configuration and support expertise for Oracle eBusiness Suite (incl. Warehouse Management, Finance and Supply Chain Planning) and interfacing applications.
Serve as subject matter expert and point of contact for processes, procedures and functionality associated with assigned Oracle Applications
Lead analysis and recommendation of potential application solutions to improve business processes and capabilities
Lead the determination, verification and documentation of optimum application setup and configuration.
Partner with Business Process Owners, Business Analysts and Architects to gather, document and review functional, architecture and technical requirements and define application functional designs.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal IT group and external IT vendors to improve application functionality and resolve issues.
Remain current on emerging application and solution trends and functionality
Educates, coaches, and trains new and existing team members to improve quality, efficiency and capability.
Skills and Experience Required:
Within the Darlington Engine Plant (DEP), Oracle Apps 11i is used as the core ERP package as well as Oracle WMS and Oracle Advanced Supply Chain Planning.There are also several peripheral applications interfacing with Oracle.
The positions primary responsibility will be for the Cummins Darlington Engine Plant (DEP), it will lead Oracle projects, improvement work and support activities for DEP and provide the same extended support to other EBU Plants upon request.
The candidate should have demonstrable functional and/or technical, working history with Oracle EBS, WMS and Oracle Advanced Supply Chain Planning. (Oracle 11i and R12).
Serves as senior subject-matter expert to business functions who are utilizing Oracle EBS 11i, WMS and Oracle Advanced Supply Chain Planning.Possess a detailed understanding of Procure to Pay (P2P), Order to Cash (O2C) and Forecast to Build (F2B) Cycles.
The role requires the ability to think strategically, prioritize and execute work across multiple EBU Plants and Cummins Joint Ventures.Helping to drive Cummins EBU IT roadmaps, upgrade plans and enable the effective utilisation of the Cummins Manufacturing Network.
Acts as IT lead for DEP site deployment of common solutions implemented across EBU by working with EBU Plants, Corporate groups, DBAs, Architects, Technical experts and Global Preferred Vendors.
Manage Change Control process for Oracle EBS Application and associated hardware.Ensure adherence to Application and Security standards
Flexible in approach to changing demands of business and working hours.Willing to work ‘Out of Hours’ when necessary.
Prior appreciation or use of programming tools such as SQL, SQL Navigator/TOAD, PL/SQL or the Oracle Developer Suite would be a distinct advantage
Prior experience of IT Application Analysis role
Required Education, Licenses or Certifications
Relevant degree in Information Technology, Business or a related subject required.
Relevant IT qualifications would be beneficial.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary £47,000- £52,000 (dependent on experience)
12% Variable Bonus
