We are looking for a talented Associate - Current Product Engineering to join our team specializing in Engineering for our Components Business Segment in Darlington.
This is a permanent role working 37.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday. Core hours 10am -3pm. The role does allow the flexibility to work from home on a hybrid basis, but you must be in a commutable distance to the Darlington office.
Salary is £28,900-35,300 depending on skills and experience.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
Functions within a team supporting various projects. Working with team members to identifying, track and resolve project issues whilst developing skills to do this independently.
Aid in the planning & execution of tests, supporting software products in an engineering environment, while positively impacting the organization's performance.
Work in a team to investigate problems & design, development, validate solutions. Prepare test reports and code to record tests.
Developing and delivering multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences.
Building strong customer relationships and delivering customer-centric solutions.
Aids in the preparation of documents for testing environment prior to testing; uses software testing tools and develops test software for use in automated test activities; debugs, compiles/builds errors to the source code. whilst developing skills to do this independently.
Downloads software to the target platform and performs validation procedures; uses configuration management systems to update and maintain product databases; uses problem tracking systems to update and maintain problem database.
Takes corrective actions based on problem reports and change requests as needed to ensure high-quality products.
To be successful in this role you will need an understanding of the following:
Knowledge of MS Office tools. Other tools: MATLAB, CDAT, AVL Concerto, Integrity, 7-Step, FTA, iDFMEA, DVP&R, FIRG, Windchill, functional development phase reviews .
Building partnerships and working collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives.
Prepares samples, verifies equipment calibration and performs tests according to an approved standard procedure or work instruction in a manner which ensures, and results in, data that can be trusted and delivered to the engineer or customer.
Prepares documentation in a manner which clearly organizes and presents testing methods, instrument settings, the data and analysis to allow the engineer and customer to understand the results and form accurate conclusions and recommendations.
Constructs embedded software using industry best practices and robust software engineering principles; verifies software updates to ensure quality products.
Solves product problems using a process that protects the customer, determines the assignable cause, implements robust, data-based solutions, and identifies the systemic root causes and recommended actions to prevent problem reoccurrence.
Engineering HNC / HND or STEM Degrees are desirable qualifications.
