We are looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Assistant to join our team specializing in Finance for our Corporate Business Segment in Darlington.
This is a permanent contract working 37.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday 8.00am -4.00pm
Salary is £25,700
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
Works with internal and external customers to procure payment of Accounts Receivable balances due.
Performs activities under moderate supervision.
Processes payments made by customers.
Prepares statements of accounts for customers.
Answers basic customer inquiries.
Prepares analysis of accounts.
May conducts root cause analysis of late payments and suggests process improvements.Assists in preparing month end reporting.
Participates in projects related to Accounts Receivable improvement.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
To work with a high volume of internal and external customers over the telephone and via e mail using standardised customer collection processes.
Prepare reports and information to show the progress and the status of each customer.
Work closely with the Marketing and Sales teams as appropriate to resolve any Accounts Receivable issues and to build, open and honest partnerships.
Works’ cross-functionally and/or with multiple Business Units and customers to identify potential problems and potential solutions.
Fully participating in continual improvement projects related to Accounts Receivable processes.
Working as a key part of a multi skilled team.
Cover additional responsibilities within the team where needed.
Manages European Ledgers
Follows Standard Customers collection strategy
Experience of working in a client focused role using the telephone and e-mail.
Experience of MS Office including intermediate Excel skills.
Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) to establish strong customer relationships.
Ability to priorities work effectively.
Excellent organisational skills.
Communications skills must be of a high standard.
Fluent in another European language would be desirable
Minimum of 5 GCSEs including A\
- C grade Math’s and English (or equivalent) or NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration.
